It seemed like some sort of sign or omen when I read that Adam Gopnik was speaking at the Jewish Community Center on Husbando's birthday. So last night I hauled ass (via Lyft) to hear hm speak because he was always a favorite writer of Bill's and I like him too. I was hoping for a little more Jewish humor but it was still an interesting evening and I'm glad I went. The topic? Jews in the cities and yes, a strong turnout for this New Yorker essayist.
