a new daily addiction

 I play 7 Little Words and Monkey Wrench on my iPad twice a day ~ trying to keep my mind sharp. The Blogmaid helped me figure out how to work Wordle last week and now I am hooked. It is a clever game and I am so very pleased to join the Wordle world.

a golden mini

Thanks to this very blog I see that my old mini iPad is almost exactly
six years old. I now have a new one with a battery that doesn't drain
in ten minutes. I am very happy currently ~ downloading assorted apps
and appreciating the Blogmaid and her help here. Ommmmmm.

Coffee and Calm

Dear Linda D ~ thanks for recommending this and saying it is
okay to drink coffee while learning how to meditate. I finally
downloaded this app yesterday onto my iPad and Annabelle
and I will listen to Calm again in a few minutes. There will be
a charge (about $60) in a few days, but what price tranquility?

a new iPad app

I learned about this FREE application at the class I took last Saturday,
and I did quickly download it on the mini iPad that very evening. It's
for writers and readers and it looks like fun to me. See, I am embracing
change, just the way I'm supposed to.

miniature miracle

Behold my bonsai laptop! Thanks to Blogmaid for the research, Husbando for
the gift money and Amazon for the speedy service, I have the oh so perfect
Zagg Zagg keyboard for the my mini iPad. I never/ever got used to the flat
keyboard on the otherwise almost-perfect mini, but now here I am, ready
for fun and, I hope, travel. I'm still learning a few things like (here we go again)
how to cut and paste, add photos, etc. but as soon as I have a few moments,
or hours, away we go. I'm so glad to live in the genius age...

There is the distinct possibility that I'll be summoned to Rome for this
pope business, so best I learn to use the mini before I go. Oooops,
I forgot how to put photos in and the Great Plotnik showed me on
Sunday last. We'll see...

The iPad is really just a big iPhone with complications, but of course
I do love it and the keyboard is easier to use than I expected. I can tuck
it in my purse or backpack and that makes it so v. convenient.

Here are a couple of cats from yesterday - Carmel and Aimee. I had a
pleasant morning feeding dogs and spending quality time with these
girls. On a related note, happy b.day to Cody, he is one year old and
brings much joy to Blogmaid and family. And beautiful, I'll include his
picture at a later post, from MsMac.

intense joy

Meet Ms. Minnie iPad, just arrived yesterday. Thanks to Mr. and Ms. Blogmaid
for their help here. Of course the usual "just plug it in" instructions never
seem to work for me, so I had to fuss a bit and I still have lots to learn.
But do I love it so far? Oh, yes. I had to slap my hands a few times to keep
from bringing her to work today. Our house now has soooooo many white
cords it's not even funny. I think I'll ask the Great Plotnik to help me find
out how to set up Facebook, Blogspot, etc., but for now I will just use the
little beauty for emails and search stuff. The idea of traveling without the
laptop worrying me much of the time is so very inviting.
