lunch at Perry's

I met Ken (the Person) down on the Embarcadero for a really nice lunch after a fine solo walk from 4th Street to this classic (dare I say iconic?) restaurant. Good food, good conversation and I'm happy to report that Perry's was packed and my SF streets bustling with people. An excellent Wednesday.

like we had a choice

My writing partner this week sounded a little derisive when he asked why we called our 2000 Toyota KEN. I'm pretty sure we hadn't named any of our other cars except maybe the Fiat. Fix It Again Tony. Bill's favorite was the Rover, wonderful when it wasn't in the mechanic's garage. Toyota? Perfection.

Ken hits the road

I was too lazy to go to the garage and get an actual photo of Ken, our
old and reliable Toyota. He has a few more dents than his brother here.
Today Ginger and I give him a nice outing up to Nevada City to
visit grand dot Ceci and explore. Just one night away from Annabelle
and that's good because we are growing dependent on one another.

joining the Lyft community

Poor Ken looks GREAT on the outside, but he is having some engine
problems with two red lights going on and off on his dashboard. He is
going in hospital for surgery on Monday and we will rent a car, but in the
meantime I just joined Lyft and will ride to/fro the Legion today and this
will be an experience. I have huge admiration for the young 'uns who
came up with this community concept of ride sharing and I'm looking
forward to not driving today. Coming home in the dark and rain last
night was harrowing and I thank dear Tanya for keeping me sane!
