interesting observation

I get way more comments (and all positive) when I wear my Valkyries tee shirt than I do when I wear Giants or Warriors merchandise. There is such excitement about this brand new team, especially now that we are going to the playoffs.

Women's basketball fever

Thanks to Terri I was able to watch the Valkyries play last night at Chase Center. For a first year team they are doing great and the games are sold out. Imagine. And, Britney Griner (remember her?) plays for the Atlanta Dream so that was special to see her on the court. Alas, we lost, but what a joy to see the enthusiasm for these WNBA stars. Such a fine time, more gratitude.

a sports dominated day

It was a fine, fun day with the Giants winning in the 9th inning at our Home Opener ~ lots of memories and pomp to give us renewed hope for the season ahead. Then, along with the rest of the world, I watched Women's College Basketball last night and rooted for Iowa, not that I'd ever want to live there or even drive through that state. Wow, they play hard and fast!

sea foam and flowers

I so needed a walk by the ocean yesterday and had a lovely, long stroll down in Pathetica. It was quiet and easy to park and I was the only customer in the Chit Chat Cafe. The Dubs pounced on the Lakers last night so all in all, a very good Thursday.

family Sunday morning

You can see that I "cooked" for everyone yesterday before they headed out about noon. Fresh fruit and yogurt and no, it's never too early for candles. CC and Nancy are FaceTiming with Lauren and Lila back in Illinois. It was a delight to see these three and then have the afternoon for myself and the Warriors who won Game 7 and now have to play the Lakers on Tuesday night. Here we go again...

the important things

So nice to escape to baseketball with a win like last night. Steph Curry is amazing. LeBron calls him "Chef" and was also overwhelmed by his 43 points. The 4th quarter was exhausting.

BIG game tonight!

Warriors vs. Lakers 7pm. ~ do-or-die playoff game, always fun. I haven't exactly been a devoted basketball fan up until now, but for sure I will watch tonight. Go Dubs!

thank you again, Steph (and Anthony)

Check out our local hero (Steph Curry) talking with our national hero
(Dr. Anthony Fauci) on Instagram. This is a true public service spot
without tRump's lies and bullshit.

And then you get to see Folsom Street and Precita Avenue during my
afternoon walk yesterday. Lately the skies are so bright and blue that
they almost hurt my eyes. I've never appreciated walking more. You?
