ice cream and art
Here's a new mural on the side of our forever favorite Mitchell's ice cream store on San Jose Ave. They always feature the Macapuno (coconut) and seasonal flavors including the only really good (my opinion) Pumpkin in the fall and Peppermint for Xmas. Yum.

designed with me in mind
I taste tested the new Ben & Jerry's Netflix ice cream at 9am today. I had heard about this (probably on TV) and when I spotted it at Safeway at 7:30am I was intrigued. Tonight perhaps, will be the true test, while watching Trapped, which my wonderful writing partner, Anna, told me about. We need little rewards these days...

more palette cleansing
San Francisco is a very small city, really, for a big city. Yesterdaythe Great Plotnik mentioned Macapuno and the Great Notthat
had to Google it. Imagine. Anyway, it appears that I had been at
Mitchell's buying this special creamy coconut treat the very
same day as Doug and/or Barb were buying it too. I remember
one dinner party we gave and Doug could identify where we had
purchased each item. I tell you, we city folks are strange and
picky food-loving fools.
After all the chocolate and peppermint sweets of the season,
what could be better for one's body than coconut ice cream?
Well, some people do other strange and unappetizing things
with and to their digestive tracks this time of year, but I don't
care to discuss it before my freshly squeezed morning orange juice.

what the doc ordered
Still cleaning up after these colds, so today we took morning naps andthen a trip to Mitchell's for ice cream medication. We stood in the bright
sunshine and enjoyed every last drop. We have both lost weight during
these past two weeks and have the enviable task of bulking up as
soon as possible. On the trip home Husbando said, "we should do
this tomorrow too." My kind of guy.
