the answer is yes ~ more party people
Ah, the after glow. Sister Jane and Tanner left yesterday and got safely back to Maryland late last night after a l-o-n-g day. My wonderful grand daughter, the newly married CC, is in the top photo with Emma my delightful trash buddy. The Blogmaid was also our photographer, bless her again and again.

grand daughter visit = success
Ceci is a close friend of the house manager at Palette down on Folsom Street and we had a fabulous dinner there Saturday night. Yes, it was cold outside, but they provided a heater and blankets. I had halibut and CC the duck, plus lots of extras and sides. Sunday morning around the fireplace and then the g.dot polished off the jigsaw puzzle. CC adds sooooo much to my life.

puzzle and podcast

an excellent podcast
Nancy and CC came by for breakfast and then headed out, back to Placerville
where the grand daughter farms. Annabelle and I started a new jigsaw and
listened to this interesting podcast which makes me want to watch The
Office series again. I wasn't a thorough follower before, but I did enjoy it.
Then of course the beauty of the spectacular SF sunset.

our busy, happy Saturday
a walk at Stow Lake
delicious CC chili dinner
we three
outdoor decorating ~ we need color!
And we also had coffee over at Doug and Barb's. Non-stop. CC made
veggie chili and I now have overstock.com in my freezer for the long
winter months ahead. A lovely day indeed.

endless excitement
From my morning email to the Blogmaid:
yes, thank god CC and Nancy were here to help
with the wild life invasion last night. The poor little bird came into
the bathroom window (why?) and it was chirping loudly and more
loudly and then Annabelle dashed in there and then and then...
all was quiet. We thought the bird had escaped, the cat was gone
but then I found my gentle house feline coming up the stairs with this huge
vulture in her mouth. CC and Nance gave chase and the two creatures
hid under the car in the garage. Nancy closed off our offices and we
waited. Annabelle brought her catch back upstairs to the bathroom and
my nature-loving step and grand daughter rescued the bird and it was
still alive. They took the poor thing outside and it is gone this morning.
It lives! Annabelle is still in a state of shock as is her city-woman owner.
Nature, red of tooth and claw ~ but no blood or feathers. Whooosh.
A very exciting evening with pizza, salad and wild life galore.

off she goes...
Here we are with the Blogmaid yesterday when CC retrieved her car. First
we walked and talked, of course. Came home and my g.d. packed up and
headed to Napa about 2pm. She is a tidy creature and I only had to put
a few things back in their rightful places. Thanks again to the Blogmaid
family for the long term driveway parking ~ life and car saver!

the grand one returns!
Behold my new table cloth from Peru, a gift from CC who flew into
SF yesterday. She had a safe and splendid time hiking all over, taking
long bus rides and staying in $6 a night hostels. I was down at St.
Anthony's, but she has house keys and by the time we met up she
was showered, had a bite to eat and done her laundry. Tomorrow we
retrieve her car from the Blogmaid's driveway. Today I will ask to
see phone photos. I caught Annabelle eating a flower out of CC's
journal yesterday ~ not nice hostess behavior.
