back to Reperch

For her belated birthday Amy wanted me to give her a guided tour of Reperch because who knows when you might need a previously owned (ahem) table or chair? Then we walked to Togo's for a fancy lunch and then topped off our Saturday at Salvation Army where it was 1/2 off day and man, that retail store was  packed with merchandise and customers.

grand daughter in training

Samantha has been asking me to take her to Costco as she has never been before. So yesterday I showed her the ropes and she filled her cart with all sorts of treats and of course she had to taste everything. She oohed and ahhhed and she would have made her grandfather proud because she compared prices and googled items and yes, I was exhausted after this experience.

more stores like this, please

I walked on Polk Street yesterday and discovered this most welcome sign for a little gift store. Of course I went in to show my appreciation.

I'll be back in July

so grim ~ even Stalin would approve

the bounty did not make it worthwhile

Well, that was a depressing way for me to start my yesterday in what a friend
called the Gulag line for old people hour at Costco. The clerk in charge (poor
man) said they started lining up at 6:45am. I was there a little before 8am
when they opened. What fresh new hell was this? But once inside it was OK
and then I came home to half ass disinfect stuff. I guess the plastic carries
the virus for 150 days or WHATEVER. But today the sun is out and I have
everything I need to stay sane. The garden has become a surprising little
spot of salvation and the jigsaw puzzle is coming along nicely, even though
a certain four legged furball likes to explore up on the dining room table
and steal a piece or two to nibble. We can do this thing.

shoe biz

I am not walking up the wall. These are Brooks® and very, very
comfortable. I also purchased a pair of Nike® black shoes for
my dress-up days. My favorite shoe shoppe is the Sports Basement
on Bryant Street and I do not even mind paying full price since
I buy shoes every three years or so. The pair pictured above remind
me of Linda D. and her joy of color.

don't believe the rumors

Husbando and I made the mistake of going to Serramonte MALL
yesterday. The American MALL is not dead. This one was thriving
and horrible and everything I hate about shopping. We had not been
here in probably ten years and will never go again. From now on it's
downtown or online. God help us, this was worse than Football.
