loving Lucinda

The wonderful Blogmaid accompanied me to magical Stern Grove yesterday to see and appreciate Lucinda Williams (middle photo) and to say "howdy" to the two grand daughters (top photo) who arranged for the tickets. I have not been here in years (decades) and was a bit afraid that the changes would be too radical, but no, everything was perfect. The sun, the crowd, the music, the trees and (gulp) the weather. Lots of old and new Liberal San Francisco Crazies and we all had such a fine day. Special thanks to the Blogmaid and to Lucinda. After glow...

the Tuesday adventure

Yesterday Ginger and I had our walk and coffee down in Stern Grove at the kids' campsite. The kiddies were away on their own adventure to Glen Park, I have no idea why. The old "move 'em around" theory maybe? The fog was beginning to burn off and we did some fine people and dog watching.

turtle karma

Uvalde, Texas and another massacre with assault rifles. Too awful. I shot these guys on the log earlier in the day before the news. Ginger and I went to Stern Grove and it was so beautiful and peaceful yesterday. Impressive speeches from Coach Steve Kerr and President Biden, but now it's time for gun laws. Now!

lots of dogs and people

After our walk in Stern Grove yesterday, Ginger and I sat with our coffee and snack and we had to eat fast as the doggies wanted more than just ear scratches. What a beautiful spot. I love the dog owners who are vaguely apologetic about their beloved pets and eager to tell us their names as they smile down with great tenderness. Yes it was cold ~ invigorating.

another Grove

Yesterday Ginger and I walked all around Stern Grove and yes, we had blue sky and sun. Neti told me how to drive down into the parking lot so that made all of this possible. It had been years since we had been down here for Sunday concerts and we used to bring our dog to splash around in the lake. Now the lake is fenced off, probably a good thing for the ducks and turtles who live here. There is a big, open dog park and we love watching all the different breeds frolic and dash about. Then thermos coffee at a front row table by the stage. A good day indeed.
