Tony Awards

Now I want to go to NYC. It takes about four years for plays to travel to our little city and some of these just looked so enticing. I enjoyed the big splash Tony Awards last night ~ the fashions were amazing, as per usual. OK, back to real life today.

news and red roses

Lindsay, the youngest grand daughter, is moving to NYC in January. She has been living in Israel for a couple of years and although I never visited her there as I wanted to, for sure I will see her in Manhattan. She sent me this photo of her walk-up (4th floor, yikes) on 22nd Street. Lovely no? Then her whole family (Rob, Sarah, Samantha, Lindsay and Honey the dog) sent these beautiful flowers making my whole house festive and special. Fortunate me!

memories galore

It's easier to go through stuff now, two years after Husbando's death. He
left an audio tape about our 2005 trip to NYC to see Christo's Gates
in Central Park. The artist recently died and he too will be missed. In
the 70's we admired his Running Fence going from Sonoma down
through Marin. We stayed at our niece Jill's itty bitty apartment in
New York and it was such a wonderful vacation. I wanted to go back
this year, but the Big Apple will have to wait until 2021. 2022?

no getting over it...

One of the reasons I want to get to NYC soon is to pay my respects at the
new World Trade Center memorial. It's so hard to believe that it has been
12 years already. So many changes in all of our lives and yet the stories and
images will stay forever with us. It's good to stop and reflect today.
