 Over there, on the left, outer rim of circle. I'm in the pink cap and Heidi is wearing the faded purple. Ice is Evil. That flag is huge and needs a whole bunch of people to lift and spin it slowly. Human Banner reports that there were 708 of us and that the next event will probably be for a future No Kings protest. No date as yet. Don't Look Away.

 I wore my protest tee shirt and Ice Out button yesterday when Heidi and I joined the folks down at Ocean Beach for our first Human Banner. It was all very well organized and fun and we had sunshine (!) and sang protest songs. This Land is Your/My Land, etc. We gathered at 11:30 and we were home by 1:30 ~ that's how well they do this now. A drone captured the scene and I will show you how it all turned out when those images are available.

my very good Tuesday

 Yesterday I went to the SF Villages for an excellent presentation by the two guys who originated and now organize the famous Human Banners down at Ocean Beach. Brad started this 20 years ago with maybe 150 people who had to lay down in the sand to make an impact. Enter Google Earth and Facebook and now as many as 7,000 people show up. What a huge undertaking. Travis partners with him and they work well together. I came home to sign up for the next event at human banners - SF and I will do my best to show up for democracy, aka Impeach on the Beach. Inspiring!

BIGGER than ever

 The next NO KINGS protest march will be huge. And it should be huge after the outrage in Minneapolis. And L.A. And Chicago. And Venezuela. And Davos. And no, we do not want Greenland or Iceland. So time to plan and prepare and this is what democracy looks like. Again. Still.

 The good people of Chicago took to the streets last night and I believe there was even a Cubs' game going on? We do NOT want our military in our cities and we do NOT want a Dictator in the White House. These are perilous times for those of us who love Democracy. Protests work, as we remember from Viet Nam.
