Modigliani and Beatrice

One of the highlights of these strange days is going on YouTube for
the Barnes Museum's daily Art Takeout. From seven to ten minutes
about one artist, one painting. Wonderful stuff. Of course you will
remember that I've been to the Barnes in Philly twice. Of course.

And I like this quote from Paulo Coelho:

Life has many ways of testing a
person's will, either by having
nothing happen at all or by having
everything happen at once.

Been there.

Anna after dinner
It was SUCH a full day with lots of walking and more museums. This time
we did the Rodin, Perelman (for Winslow Homer) and back to the Barnes.
Walked past the famous prison and on to Boathouse Row on the river where
we had a less than edible lunch, but nice view and friendly people.

Dinner was a delight because Michael's cousin Anna from Dutchhill Farm
(to the right) joined us. She is a young woman of many talents and much
beauty, as you can see. The food at Farmicia was excellent, exquisite.
A wonderful evening after a delightful touristy day.

november trip pre-planning

Ginger and I will be heading off to Philadelphia to check out the new Barnes
Foundation Museum. She found a great bargain on Virgin America for our
4-day trip beginning Nov. 7th. Future posts will bore you with details of this
museum that houses the greatest collection of Impressionist and Post
Impressionist painting in America. And, there is a bit of history in that
city too, or so they tell me...
