a Saturday off!

So down we went to the Farmers' Market at the Embarcadero. We met Ginger
for lunch at Plant (Pier 3) and I tasted turkey bacon for the first time ever
and it was just fine. Then G. and I sat on a bench for a couple of hours (with
our lattes) to let the famous San Francisco Bay calm our souls. Such a nice
day and just what all doctors (and even politicians) everywhere might order for
every single person. Sit, talk, appreciate.

a food centered Saturday

Buy me!
Sand dabs and petrale sole...

Another nice day in SF with Nancy. First for a thorough tour of
the Farmers' Market at Ferry Plaza and then to meet Ginger for
lunch at Tadich. It all worked smoothly on BART and we spent
the evening at the Chinese New Year's Day parade ~ on TV, of
course. With another big salad only for dinner, including some
of the pretty green cauliflower that I bought for $1.oo.

Today we grieve the death of Whitney Houston. So much
talent, so many problems.

early saturday morning

Well, I thought it was early (7:30), but the Farmers' Market down
on Alemany was already jam and fruit-packed with people and
produce. This is only open on Saturday, and since I'm rarely off
I was looking forward to a quiet browse. Most of the vendors and
customers are Asian or Mexican, so it's a colorful scene with lots
of bargaining in assorted languages. Parking is impossible, but
I was OK due to the karma thing. You can see it's going to be
beautiful weather and I'm off for 3 in a row. Hooooooray!

Next to a couple of museums for bus a woman's holiday.
